| The nose was tight initially but after swirling offered up candied cherries, rasberries and flowers (Roses vs. Lilacs). The palate on this wine is incredibly concentrated, closed and tannic. This is not ready to drink by any means. Anyway, after some airing it revealed classic burgundy red fruit with a crisp, clean mouth feel and great length. Rovani is on the money when he say that this wine drinks like a Grand Cru (not that I have had that many). It did remind me of a Chapel-Chambertain I had the night before. Again, this is a structured wine that will need some time in the cellar but has great potential. Buy it if you can find it. A wonderful QPR wine. |
