98 Roc de Cambes [Cotes de Bourg] Yummy. A juicy wine that seems to have had some cocoa beans thrown into the vats when it was fermenting. There is a real apparent taste of chocolate extract in this that must have only come from perfectly ripe merlot grapes. It was a particularly clever ringer because many Pomerols aspire to this kind of quality level. I was thrilled someone brought this because I have one magnum and wanted to see how it was coming along. 90 pts.

Great wine. Yummy, sexy nose with sweet fruit, expresso and licorice. A plush texture and plenty of fruit hide the tannin. Medium to full-bodied with a fruity finish. This was a real surprise. The only wine I bought after the tasting.
