no air time. dark opaque red. light nose, some fruit but mostly alcohol (a non-wine geek said "like the velvet lining of a jewrey box"). lots of nice thick fruit but not a bomb and challenged by strong tanins. lots of alcohol, some dirt and a bit chewy and some complexity although unbalanced. rich, earthly, oak, spicy. but slightly acid finish with fading fruit. nice for $30.

Classic Cos nose with noticable Asian spice and a touch of sweet oak. A let-down to taste. Subtle, medium-bodied with some dryness on the back end. Perhaps it was the bottle . Cos did make a severe selection in this vintage.
