From a private cellar sale with the assurance of great provenance. The capsule was stuck and upon removing the foil I noted dried wine. Cork was wet through the top. Nose of dried red fruit, flowers with a touch of spice. Color was light crimson. The taste of a mature wine. Gentle and soft. The wine went very well with a port reduction glazed rack of lamb. In fact we added a bit of the wine to the sauce. This wine was subtle and thin in the middle but quite supple and seamless. This is what I like about red Burgs. A fine food wine and one that my wife really enjoyed. I suspect that the poor provenance effected the bottle.
