| 1990 Laboure-Roi Charmes-Chambertin. $45. Mature nose of the barnyard with a touch of a few musky notes. Medium bodied and semi-smooth but not silky from start to finish. With air the wine actually became a bit hard-edged. Nice dried cherry fruit with some oak noticeable. Dry finish suggests this wine has peaked. An OK producer in a great vintage. A good but somewhat disappointing. |
