| 1998 Cape d’Estaing Shiraz. From the island of Adelaide. Dark purple in color. Huge, sweet nose of shiraz-berry and pepper. Big, round and lush palate of sweet (jammy) fruit enveloped by toasty-vanilla new oak.. This wine is robust - what you expect from a ‘Blockbuster Shiraz.’ A huge hit with the neighbors. It drinks well now so I don’t know if I’ll be able to age them. Cross-posted. |
