| 1995 Hacienda Monasterio Crianza. $30. Almost black in color. Soaring nose of dark fruit, smoke and chocolate. This wine is round and mouth-filling with no shortage of sweet fruit. The wine is a like an Aussie fruit-bomb without all the oak. It is hard not to enjoy from a sensory standpoint but I think it is a bit over extracted for my taste. The finish was a touch hot. I wonder how well a wine this fruity can age. Cross-posted. |
