| ‘98 Torbreck The Steading. One cannot help but get excited after reading Parker on this wine: ‘….Seductive, voluptuously-textured flavors unfold on the palate, and the texture is so plush that the taster feels his palate is resting on a water bed of overripe black fruits….’ This is a Rhone-style blend from down-under. It smells like a Southern-Rhone wine without the funk. Dark fruit and anise. The palate is full and rich. It tasted juicy and soft on release but a year later it is a bit more masculine while still being very inviting. Great length. I wonder how this wine will age? It is great now. (Cross Posted).
