| ‘97 d’Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz. A big Shiraz but not out of control. This wine has mellowed a bit from initial release which hopefully is a positive omen for the future. The color is like ink. The nose boasts shiraz-pepper, dark fruit, coffee bean with sufficient oak. This wine has the creamy texture that Shiraz lovers will appreciate. It has plenty of fruit but has tightened-up a bit since release which I think is a positive development. Still, no shortage of alcohol or density here.
