| I had this wine about a month ago and decanted it for a few hours. That was a mistake as the wine was thin and hollow. I did not like it at that time and would have rated it in the 70’s. Last night, I revisited this wine but without decanting. The showing was much better. The nose had subtle but definite Bordeaux characteristics - soil, mulch and dark fruit. The palate was medium-bodied with a touch of acidity but overall quite smooth and balanced. There was enough fruit to hold one’s interest and a nice tannic balance in the finish. This is not a great wine by any stretch but an enjoyable table wine to drink now. For the archive I’ll score it 85 points. I will try to cross-post to the TN Archive for the first time. |
