This is a beautiful wine. The bottle was in excellent condition with a fill well into the neck. I bought this about a year ago for about $50. Cork was wet about 90% of the way up but in good shape. Color garnet with a touch of amber at the rim. It took about an hour to open up. The nose was so nice with musty earthy notes, some of the '82 asian spice and the old cigar box. Palate was what well-aged Bordeaux is all about. Balanced with a solid midsection of dark fruits. It had the weighty feel of a great wine. Finish was long and fruity with surprisingly firm but balanced tannins. This wine is in no danger of being over the hill. I would score it 94. This wine would easily hold up in a horizontal of '82 classified growths.
