About $7 from Trader Joes. This is my first taste of the 2002 vintage. Pulled straight from the cellar and served, so initially it was a bit cold. Dark ruby color in the glass, not opaque, but not dillute looking either. As the wine warms up it shows a rustic but charming character; some smoke, a bit of earth, and clean red berry fruit finishing with chalky tannins. I was moderately impressed with this given it's stature, this would pair well with pot roast or beef stew.
