Found this locally and bought one to give it a shot. The color is an inky red/purple, nearly opaque. On the nose, many of the typical flavors I notice in young bordeaux: minerals, pencil, and some dark berries and cherries with coaxing. Seems medium to full bodied, an has an excellent grip throughout the long finish. It's fairly open right now, but that will probably change over the next few years. The only knock I can find is a lack of the lush fruit I've had in some young 1996s or 2000s. But overall, an excellent, classy Bordeaux.
