In the glass, the wine has a deep straw color, much darker than most of the Krugs I've tried, with small bubbles and a lazy bead (I think the glasses were not as clean as they needed to be). On the palate there's some lemon with secondary yeasty-cheese flavors that finish off with a strong toast and coffee flavor. This seemed like a pretty full-bodied style, and while it was enjoyable, I'd wager there's some positive development in the wine's future. Good stuff.
