Site Update

April 2nd, 2007 - It's been a while since I've uploaded pictures or added site news, so today I started working through the backlog of material to post. I've added several new photo albums, covering Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, as well as Samantha's 1st birthday and some random photos from Jan/Feb/Mar. With a little luck I should be able to post a couple of short videos of Samantha walking this week (it's really busy at work though).

We've made it through our first winter in Washington. We didn't get as much snow as I expected, but there was plenty of cold weather. It got into the single digits a couple of times at night. The weather's getting nice now though, most days are in the low 60s and there are a lot more sunny days. The trees around the Tri-Cities are starting to bloom all, so now most of the streets are lined with trees covered in pink, yellow, or white blooms. It's quite beautiful. The evenings are getting longer now too, with twilight already extending to 8pm.

Samantha's walking all over now. I wager she'll be running soon. Fortunately, the neighborhood park is just a short walk away so Erika can take Samantha to burn off some energy and try out the swings when the weather's nice. I'm starting to gear up for getting the back lawn in. I've drawn up plans for the backyard for sprinklers, some rocks and shrubs, a walkway, and a large patio. On top of this I'll be digging a dry-well to handle the runoff from our new rain gutters and then it'll be time to seed the lawn. Lots to keep busy with for now...
